Why drivers choose Auto Cosmetics’ ceramic tint films

Nano-ceramic tint rejects infrared heat, blocks 99% of UV rays, and will not fade or turn purple. Every film is precision plotter-cut and factory-installed in our climate-controlled Chandler shop, with transparent online pricing, a lifetime film warranty, and our workmanship guarantee.

  • Real infrared heat rejection

Ceramic tint blocks the infrared light that you actually feel as heat. Measured at the 1400nm range, our films reject up to 99%, which means a cooler cabin, a steering wheel you can touch, and an air conditioner that does not have to fight the sun.

  • Blocks 99% of UV rays

Every ceramic film we install blocks 99% or more of UVA and UVB rays, the equivalent of SPF 1000. That protects your skin on long Arizona drives and keeps the dashboard, seats, and trim from fading and cracking in the sun.

  • Signal-safe, non-metallic film

Our ceramic tint contains no metal, so it will not interfere with GPS, cell, Bluetooth, radio, or keyless-entry signals the way older metallic films can. You get heat rejection without losing a single bar of reception.

  • Built for the Arizona sun

Nano-ceramic film is color-stable, so it will not fade, bubble, or turn purple the way cheap dyed tint does after a few Phoenix summers. It holds its shade and clarity through 115-degree heat for the life of the warranty.

  • Backed by a real warranty

Your tint carries a lifetime manufacturer warranty on the film against fading, bubbling, and color change, plus our workmanship guarantee. 3M Ceramic IR is backed by the 3M warranty.

I received a PPF full front and rear bumper. My last Audi was full of paint chips so I didn't want to go through that experience again. I was looking for a company that had a good reputation and a decent guarantee and ended up here. This was a great decision. Professional service.

Ceramic Window Tint Questions, Chandler & Phoenix AZ

Real answers on ceramic tint cost, heat rejection, Arizona tint law, films, shades, installation, and warranty for drivers in Chandler, Phoenix, Tempe, Gilbert, Mesa, Scottsdale, and the East Valley.

?How much does ceramic window tint cost in Chandler, AZ?
Ceramic window tint at Auto Cosmetics starts at $499 for LLumar IRX, $599 for STEK Nex+, and $699 for 3M Ceramic IR on most sedans, and each price covers all side windows plus the rear windshield. Compact SUVs start at $499, midsize SUVs at $549, and three-row or full-size SUVs at $649. A clear front windshield adds $279 with IRX. Every price is published, so you see the exact out-the-door number for your vehicle before you book. See your price on our ceramic tint pricing dashboard.
?How much does it cost to tint a whole car?
A full set of side windows plus the rear windshield starts at $499 with LLumar IRX, $599 with STEK Nex+, or $699 with 3M Ceramic IR. Adding a clear 70 percent front windshield brings an IRX package to $778 out the door. Sunroofs, panoramic glass, and visor strips are add-ons priced individually. Build your exact total on our ceramic tint pricing dashboard.
?Is ceramic window tint worth it in Arizona?
In Arizona, yes. Dashboards reach roughly 180 degrees on a summer day, and ceramic tint blocks infrared heat before it enters the cabin, so the interior stays cooler, the air conditioning works less, and your dashboard and seats are protected from fading. Nano-ceramic film also blocks 99 percent of UV and does not interfere with GPS, cellular, or radio signals the way older metallic films do.
?How much heat does ceramic window tint block?
Our films reject up to 99 percent of infrared heat measured by SIRR at 1,400nm, the wavelength you feel as cabin heat. STEK Nex+ blocks 97 to 99 percent across every legal Arizona shade, 3M Ceramic IR blocks 91 to 95 percent, and LLumar IRX blocks 80 to 89 percent. Total Solar Energy Rejected reaches up to 69 percent with Nex+. Higher infrared rejection means a noticeably cooler cabin in Arizona sun.
?Does ceramic window tint block UV rays?
Yes. Every ceramic film we install blocks 99 percent of UVA and UVB, and 3M Ceramic IR blocks 99.9 percent. That is protection comparable to SPF 1000 sunblock for the time you spend driving, which guards your skin and stops the Arizona sun from fading and cracking your interior.
?What is the darkest legal tint in Arizona?
Arizona law (ARS 28-959.01) requires front side windows to let in more than 33 percent of light, so 35 percent is the darkest practical legal shade up front. Rear side windows and the rear windshield can be any darkness. Tint cannot be more than 35 percent reflective, and red or amber tint is not allowed. The same rules apply to sedans, SUVs, and trucks, and a medical exemption is available through ADOT.
?Can you tint your windshield in Arizona?
Arizona allows a non-reflective visor strip on the windshield above the AS-1 line. We also install a clear 70% ceramic film across the windshield for heat and UV (from $279). That film does not look dark. We do not install dark windshield tint. If you want only the visor strip, that starts at $89. Confirm what you want at booking.
?What is the difference between ceramic tint and regular tint?
Regular dyed tint uses dye that fades and can turn purple, and metalized tint uses metal that can block GPS and cellular signals. Ceramic tint uses nano-ceramic particles instead, so it rejects far more infrared heat, blocks 99 percent of UV, keeps clearer visibility, does not interfere with signals, and does not fade or purple. It costs more than dyed or carbon film but lasts longer and performs better in Arizona heat.
?Which of your three ceramic films is best?
All three are nano-ceramic and signal-safe. LLumar IRX ($499) is the best value for everyday Arizona driving. STEK Nex+ ($599) is our recommended film for maximum heat rejection, blocking 97 to 99 percent of infrared at 1,400nm. 3M Ceramic IR ($699) is backed by the 3M warranty and blocks 99.9 percent of UV. Compare every spec and price on our ceramic tint pricing dashboard.
?Does ceramic window tint block GPS, cell phone, or radio signals?
No. Our ceramic films are non-metallic, so GPS navigation, cellular reception, AM and FM radio, key fobs, and driver-assist sensors all keep working normally. Only older metalized films cause signal interference. Ceramic film gives you the heat rejection without the signal problems.
?What tint shades and VLT percentages can I choose?
We offer shades from 5 percent (limo dark) up to 70 percent (nearly clear). Arizona allows any darkness on rear side windows and the rear windshield, but front side windows must stay at 35 percent or lighter to be legal. Most drivers choose 35 percent up front and a darker shade in back. You can set shades when you book or decide at drop-off with samples on real glass.
?What does a tint package cover, and what are the add-ons?
The package price covers all side windows plus the rear windshield. Add-ons include a clear front windshield (from $279), a panoramic windshield for the Tesla X and Cybertruck (from $749), a single (from $249), double (from $499), or panoramic (from $649) sunroof, and a visor strip (from $89). Build your exact configuration on our ceramic tint pricing dashboard.
?Can you tint a Tesla or other EV?
Yes. We tint every Tesla and EV, including the large panoramic rear glass on the Model 3 and Model Y and the panoramic windshield on the Model X and Cybertruck. Ceramic film is the right choice for EVs because it is non-metallic and will not interfere with sensors or connectivity. See Tesla-specific options on our Tesla tint page.
?How long does it take to tint car windows?
A full set of side windows plus the rear windshield usually takes about 2 to 3 hours. Adding a clear windshield adds roughly another hour, so a typical job is a half day. We confirm the timeline when you book, and the vehicle stays in our climate-controlled Chandler shop during the install.
?Do you hand-cut the tint or use computer-cut patterns?
We use computer-cut precision. Our plotters and design software cut each piece of film to your vehicle's exact factory dimensions, so the fit is precise, the edges are clean, and no blade ever touches your glass. We are a data-driven shop: we choose film by the specs, not by a brand name, and cut it by computer for a flawless fit.
?How long does ceramic tint take to cure, and when can I roll my windows down?
Keep your windows up for at least 3 days. In Arizona summer heat ceramic tint often cures in 2 to 4 days because the sun speeds the process. Light haze, streaks, or small water pockets are normal while it cures and clear up on their own, so do not pick at bubbles. Rolling windows down too early can shift or peel the film.
?Can I wash my car after getting tint?
An exterior hand wash is fine after a day or two, just keep water off the window edges while the film cures. Avoid cleaning the inside of the glass for about a week. After that, clean tinted windows with an ammonia-free cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth to protect the film.
?Will ceramic tint fade, bubble, or turn purple?
No. Ceramic tint uses no dye and no metal, so it does not fade, bubble, or turn purple the way cheaper films do. It holds the same color and clarity for the life of the film, and any defect is covered by warranty.
?What warranty comes with ceramic window tint?
Every install carries a lifetime manufacturer warranty on the film against fading, bubbling, and discoloration, plus our workmanship guarantee. 3M Ceramic IR is backed by the 3M warranty. We handle warranty claims directly so you are not left chasing the manufacturer.
?Where can I get ceramic tint near me in the East Valley?
Our shop is in Chandler at 500 N. 56th Street, Suite 1, minutes from Gilbert, Tempe, Mesa, Ahwatukee, and Queen Creek, and a short drive from Phoenix and Scottsdale. We are a 4.9-star shop with more than 200 Google reviews and publish every price online, so East Valley drivers can see their exact cost before they arrive.
?Can you remove old window tint?
Yes. Tint removal is $30 per side window, $15 per small quarter or vent window, and $99 for a rear or front windshield. Some SUVs and trucks come from the factory with dyed glass in the back that looks like tint but is not, and we identify that at drop-off and recommend the right film to match the look.
?Do you install XPEL, Ceramic Pro, or Rayno window tint?
No. We install LLumar IRX, STEK Nex+, and 3M Ceramic IR. We choose the films we stock by testing the specs that matter in Arizona, infrared heat rejection, UV block, and signal safety, not by brand name. STEK Nex+ rejects 99% of infrared at 1,400nm and 3M Ceramic IR carries the 3M manufacturer warranty. Every price is published online, so you can compare film by film before you book.
?Does ceramic tint keep a parked car cool in Arizona heat?
A parked car in 110° sun still gets hot. Ceramic tint does not turn the cabin into shade. What it does: it cuts infrared while you drive, so the AC catches up faster and the sun on your arm is not as sharp. For parked heat, add a windshield sunshade. Ceramic is still worth it in Chandler because most of the year you are driving in that sun.
?Is ceramic tint too dark at night?
Heat rejection does not require a dark shade. Most of our Arizona jobs are 35% on the front doors (the legal limit) and darker in the back. 35% ceramic is clear enough for night driving. 5% and 20% on the front doors are not legal here and are hard to see through after dark. You can look at samples on glass at drop-off before we cut film.
?How much to tint just the two front windows?
Front doors start at $218 with LLumar IRX. Most people book the full package (sides plus rear) from $499 because the rear glass is where Arizona heat and UV hit the interior.
