Scottsdale Standards

You did not buy a nice car to have its glass done in a parking lot.

Scottsdale cars carry more paint, more tech, and more resale money than anywhere else in the Valley, and the tint decision follows the same logic as the car: measured performance, factory-correct look, and an installation environment that respects a six-figure interior.

We install nano ceramic film chosen by published spec: infrared rejection measured at 1,400nm, 99% UV block, and zero metal content so none of your driver assistance, GPS, or connectivity is touched. Shades are matched to the factory glass so the car reads original, only cooler and better protected.

Every installation at Auto Cosmetics® happens indoors in climate controlled bays on an appointment, with the exact installed price published before you book, the same way we handle the PPF and ceramic coating work Scottsdale drivers pair with tint.

Why Scottsdale Cars Get Tinted

The desert is indifferent to what your interior cost.

Cognac leather, piano trim, and screens the size of laptops all lose to Arizona sun on the same schedule as a work truck. Ceramic film is how you slow the clock.

Heat rejection, measured

Up to 99% of infrared rejected at the wavelength you feel. A car staged outside a restaurant or resort valet lot cools in minutes instead of miles.

UV is the resale killer

99% of UV blocked at every shade protects leather, stitching, and trim, the exact surfaces a pre-purchase inspection photographs first.

Invisible to your tech

No metal content means radar, cameras, GPS, keyless systems, and toll tags behave exactly as engineered. The film works in the background, like everything else in the car.

Factory look, kept

Shades matched to OEM privacy glass and applied edge to edge. The car does not look tinted. It looks like it left the factory this way.

Arizona Law for Scottsdale

Legal limits, handled by default.

Arizona tint law is statewide and we install to it by default. Nothing quoted on this page risks a stop on Scottsdale Road.

Front side windows

More than 33% light transmission required, making 35% VLT the darkest legal front shade. It pairs cleanly with factory rear privacy glass.

Behind the driver

Unlimited darkness is legal. Most Scottsdale builds run 35 front with rear glass matched to the factory tone rather than maximum darkness.

Windshield

Non-reflective film is legal above the AS-1 line, and a 70% clear ceramic layer covers the full windshield legally: no visible change, most of the heat gone.

Why owners drive past a dozen closer shops

"During my first visit, I planned to stay through the entire tint installation, but they surprised me by ordering an Uber to take me home and bring me back when it was ready, at no cost. Hector and the team are excellent and guided me through various options. I will only trust this shop for window tint, PPF, or any other services they provide."

"This is my FIFTH vehicle being taken to Auto Cosmetics for their professional touch. Vehicles continue to get more and more expensive so you want to use a shop that stands behind their work and only uses products they trust."

JMJoshua M. · 2026 VW Golf R, fifth vehicle★★★★★ Google review

"I love that their prices are very transparent on their website, so I knew exactly what I'd be paying without the hassle of waiting for a quote. They were able to move me up to an earlier appointment last minute. The whole process was smooth and easy. Highly recommend!"

Getting Here From Scottsdale

One freeway, no guesswork: the 101 straight to Ray Road

The shop sits at 500 N. 56th Street in Chandler, just off I-10 at Ray Road: the 101 south to Ray Road, then Ray west, one freeway the whole way. A proper ceramic tint install takes 4 to 5 hours, so drop off in the morning and pick up a cooler car the same afternoon.

South Scottsdale and Old Town

20 to 25 minutes down the 101. Drop off in the morning and the car is ready the same afternoon.

Central Scottsdale and Shea

About 30 minutes on the 101 south. One freeway, one exit, no surface-street maze.

North Scottsdale and Kierland

30 to 35 minutes. Customers tell us the published price is what makes the drive worth it.

Work in the Chandler tech corridor?

If you commute to the Price Road corridor, we are minutes from your office. Drop off on a workday and pick up on the way home.

Tesla and EV Glass

Frameless doors, panoramic roofs: EV glass is our weekly routine.

Scottsdale garages hold a lot of Teslas, Rivians, and Lucids, and their glass is genuinely different: frameless doors, one-piece panoramic rears, and electronics that forbid metal film. Flat published pricing, from $499.

Panoramic rear as one piece

Tesla Model 3 and Y rear windshields are heat shrunk and installed as a single panel. No seams, no shortcuts.

Zero interference

Ceramic-only construction leaves autopilot cameras, sensors, and connectivity untouched.

Published for every model

Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, and the rest of the EV garage are all searchable above with real installed prices.

The Privacy Glass Myth

Factory dark glass is not heat protection.

The most common Scottsdale misconception we correct: the SUV came with dark rear glass, so the tint job is half done. It is not.

Dark is not cool

Factory privacy glass blocks visible light for looks, but passes most infrared. Ceramic film over that same glass is where the heat rejection actually comes from.

Fronts left bare

Factories ship the front doors clear. Tinting the two fronts to a legal 35% completes the look and finally protects the driver, and that package is priced on this page.

One visit, whole car

Most Scottsdale clients pair tint with PPF or a ceramic coating appointment. One drop off, every surface handled, every price published first.

This page is ceramic tint for Scottsdale drivers. Other tint pages

We tint cars, not houses. Our shop is in Chandler at 500 N. 56th Street, Suite 1, down the 101 at Ray Road.

Scottsdale Tint Questions

The questions Scottsdale asks, answered plainly

Who installs ceramic window tint near Scottsdale with published prices?
We do, straight down the 101 to Ray Road in Chandler. Every vehicle, film, and package carries a published installed price on this page, the same transparency we apply to PPF and ceramic coatings.
What does window tint cost for a Scottsdale luxury vehicle?
Ceramic packages start at $499 for most vehicles with LLumar IRX, $599 with STEK Nex+, and $699 with 3M Ceramic IR, all side windows plus rear windshield. Exotics and unusual glass are priced over a quick call, and everything else appears in the vehicle search above.
My car has factory privacy glass. Do I still need tint?
For heat, yes. Privacy glass blocks light, not infrared. The standard setup adds ceramic film over the factory rear glass for heat rejection and brings the bare front doors to a legal 35% match.
Will tint interfere with my driver assistance systems or radar?
No. The films we install contain no metal, so cameras, radar, GPS, toll tags, and keyless systems are unaffected. It is the same reason these films are safe on Teslas.
Can you handle frameless doors and exotic glass?
Yes. Frameless door glass on EVs, coupes, and exotics is weekly work here, installed indoors in climate controlled bays on appointment.
What is legal in Scottsdale?
Arizona law applies statewide: front side windows must pass more than 33% of light, so 35% is the darkest practical legal shade up front. Rear side windows and the rear windshield can be any darkness. Arizona allows a non-reflective visor strip on the windshield above the AS-1 line. We also install a clear 70% ceramic windshield film for heat and UV, from $279. That film does not look dark. We do not install dark windshield tint. Confirm what you want at booking.
Can I combine tint with PPF or ceramic coating in one visit?
Yes, and most Scottsdale clients do. One online booking covers the combination, each service at its published price, one drop off and one pickup.
Do you install other window tint brands in Scottsdale?
No. We install three nano-ceramic films, all priced on this page from $499. We choose films by infrared rejection, UV block, and signal safety, not by brand. Compare specs on this page before you book.
